I don’t entirely know how I fit a decade of passion, fascination, research, practice and care into one 30 minute recording but here it is. This live Yoga Nidra practice was captured in my living room as part of my 2025 Summer Nidra Series.

I invite you to take a ride on the lapel mic I clipped over my heart and rest as I let the potent magic that Yoga Nidra can be blast forth on this blessed Northern California evening.

The first 3 minutes begin rather animated as I land the room bringing in some thematics, ideas and inspirations. Perhaps it will help meet you if you begin this recording rather stimulated. This recording includes robust use of brass bowls and other instruments that sit in the background as compared to my voice.

This practice is a woven coherent prayer. It both contains basic instructions as to be accessible to a total beginner and is radically deep. Uniquely, I lean into a directed sankalpa process that I have been developing, and deep in the practice, I really send it with an archetypal first person multisensory imaginative journey. I am boldly improvising and innovating here and when I listen to this recording I surprise myself and I also hear all of my teachers. I leave the Sanskrit in there and even add more. Heavy use of Neuro Linguistic Programming's hypnotic language patterns and understandings throughout make the settling process juicy and deep and point to the experience of full release.

This is not some whitewashed monotone #nsdr protocol designed for efficiency recorded in a studio. This is Total Yoga Nidra. This is raw and is what happens when you practice for years showing up for people in person to give as much as you possibly can with unbreakable faith that Nidra Shakti will light the way home. I’ve never missed. This is my heartsong. Thank you for listening.

I worked a full day as the Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator at the Jacoby Creek School before walking up the hill to set up and deliver this banger Nidra. Time and money are the only barriers to me sharing this work. I’ve stopped workshops temporarily to try and publish and share more widely.
