When I first gravitated to Hatha Yoga I hurt my lower back. Through the practice of gentle asana I was able to completely heal myself of debilitating weakness and pain. I know firsthand the power and efficacy of gentle movement done with proper alignment and awareness.
This 1.5 hour class combines yogic teachings, gentle thoroughly explained postures, and extended guided relaxation to provide a truly nourishing yoga practice. This class is for every body.
Focuses on basic postures and breath, flexibility, strength-building and Anusara alignment. This class is perfect for beginners and continuing students who are especially stiff, have injuries or health issues, and for anyone wanting a slower class. I adjust the level to the students, offering options as needed.
To find the space: Enter through the Todd Room Door. This is the second door furthest uphill on the West side of the church (G street). Upon entering immediately on the left is another door leading to a flight of stairs. Go up the stairs and the gym will be on your left.
